I'd like to very strongly recommend New Home to anyone who is interested in a total makeover of a house in the Marin area.

Although I'd consulted several other architects to get ideas on what to do with my older home in the Bel Aire Estates of Tiburon, New Home came in with the most dramatic, original, and creative ideas to turn my dowdy old 1954 house into a 2007 home with almost twice the square footage. By the time he came along, he'd redone several homes in that neighborhood, and shown how such dramatic results could be obtained in just a few short months.

Right from the outset, the planning process was a pleasure. New Home has a computerized program that allows him to project on a wall screen the various options for floor plans, etc., including with 3-D views that makes the ideas come to life. In just a few hours, he and I had put together a great plan that came out just the way we had envisioned it, turning a 3 bedroom, 1/2 bath home into a 5 bedroom, 3-bath home.

Central to the concept is the vaulted ceiling in the Great Room, which took views obstructed by eaves and dramatically opened them up to the sky, including with skylights.

New Home's crew took great pride in their work, and produced a really professional result with a lot of attention to detail. They were all great to work with, and very attentive to new ideas as they came up.

The stone and tile work, the fireplace, and the counter tops are all first rate, and give the house a "multi-million-dollar" feel.

This neighborhood is fast turning from one of the least desirable to one of the most desirable in Tiburon because of New Home's leading role. I New Home arranged the financing of a construction loan, making it uneccessary to invest any of my own money. Best of all, the house has now improved in value by more than the cost of the improvements, so I am money ahead.

I'm very enthusiastic about this kind of total makeover, and I'd be happy to show anybody my finished house. I'd strongly recommend New Home as the designers, financiers and managers of this kind of a redo. Please don't hesitate to contact me for further questions.
